The Raspberry Shake, much to our surprise and delight, has proven itself as a robust tool for measuring earthquakes from halfway around the world. This will enable them to detect earthquakes faster and with higher degrees of confidence.Įven if your home is not affected by earthquakes, there is always something to see. Raspberry Shake also caught the attention of government institutions like geophysical and earthquake monitoring institutes, who have acquired Raspberry Shakes to densify their networks. The Raspberry Shake succeeded in fulfilling its mission and over a 1000 units have been distributed worldwide to over 50 countries, leading to the creation of the largest citizen scientist earthquake monitoring network in history. We created the Raspberry Shake to empower hobbyists and promote home science and citizen scientists. We are proud to introduce the Raspberry Shake 4D.Īnd don't forget to follow us on social networks Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Since our last campaign we have listened to your feedback and we have been working nonstop to make the next generation of Raspberry Shake even better. But what about things happening all around you that you don’t notice until perhaps it is too late, like earthquakes? Raspberry Shake deepens your connection to the surrounding environment by measuring local Earth movements, some too small to feel, others big enough to raise an alarm. Such home science devices measure what you feel and sense, such as the temperature or air quality.

These solutions provide accurate information in real-time. Every day, people are using more “Home Science” solutions, such as weather stations, to better understand what affects their local environment. In recent years we have seen a huge rise in the popularity of home automation and local environmental monitoring devices. Our previous Kickstarter campaign was a resounding success- a Kickstarter Staff Pick that overshot its funding goal by 1,400%! Thanks to your support we brought you Raspberry Shake, the world’s smallest professional-grade personal Earth monitoring device. Unity Technologies integrated Parsec at the beginning of 2022, making Parsec a part of Unity. We are back by popular demand with our latest creation - The Raspberry Shake 4D! Pick up the next generation of Raspberry Shake, a personal home Earth monitor combined with IoT technologies made by OSOP, at a HUGE discount!

In January 2018, Parsec partnered with Hewlett-Packard to create OMEN Game Stream, a free game streaming service based on Parsec's technology designed specifically for HP Omen PCs. Parsec previously provided a simple user interface for provisioning and connecting to pre-configured virtual machines hosted by Amazon Web Services and Paperspace, this has however been removed and is no longer part of the current version. In 2023, Parsec shut down it's arcade system. Pen and tablet support has been added as well as the option to have extra displays. The 4:4:4 mode makes colors sharper and crisper. Parsec Warp adds additional settings, visual enhancements and more controls. Parsec also provides a paid "Parsec for Teams" version with additional features for artists and developers, such as additional administrative tools, better color accuracy and the ability to stream multiple screens at once. The Parsec client is available on most modern operating systems including Windows, macOS, Android, Raspberry Pi 3 and Linux. Although its main focus is gaming, Parsec can also be used as low-latency desktop sharing software. Using Parsec, a user can stream video game footage through an Internet connection, allowing one to run a game on one computer but play it remotely through another device. Parsec is a proprietary desktop capturing application primarily used for playing games through video streaming. For other uses, see Parsec (disambiguation).
